The Granata’s youth team, known as Primavera, showcased an impressive performance against their rivals Juventus, scoring a goal in each half. The first came from Marchioro, followed by a second from Franzoni, leading to a 2-0 win.
The atmosphere was jubilant at the Moccagatta Stadium in Alessandria, where Torino’s president, Urbano Cairo, joined the celebration. The club seems to be enjoying their success, having entered the tournament as the defending champions. With this latest triumph, they not only secured the trophy for the second consecutive year but also reinforced their status in youth football.
This was a stellar debut for Felice Tufano as the head coach of Torino’s Primavera team. Under his leadership, the team had previously demolished AC Milan 5-1 in the semifinals, showcasing their strength on the pitch.
The event attracted over a thousand spectators, making it a prestigious occasion in Italian youth football. Notable figures present included former national team coach Ventura, Torino’s current coach Vanoli, and technical director Vagnati.
In the afternoon’s third-place match, Inter defeated Milan 3-1, thanks to goals from Cocchi, Lavelli, and Berenbruch, while Martinazzi scored for the Rossoneri. The final standings for the “Mamma e Papà Cairo” 2024 tournament were thus: Torino in first place, followed by Juventus, Inter, and Milan.
