“Vincent Kompany Set to Become New Bayern Coach”

0

Vincent Kompany (38) could be the next Bayern Munich coach, with a deal reportedly in place until 2027. Bayern just needs to settle the compensation with Kompany’s current club, FC Burnley. The English side is asking for around 23.5 million euros, while Bayern prefers not to pay more than 10 million. Pep Guardiola, who mentored Kompany at Manchester City, praises his potential for the role.

Guardiola, speaking before the English FA Cup final, expressed his admiration for Kompany: “I have a high opinion of Vinny. The relegation with Burnley doesn’t change that.” Guardiola, who coached Bayern from 2013 to 2016, has faith in Kompany’s ability to implement possession-based football successfully, as he did at City and Burnley. He believes Bayern should decisively pursue this opportunity for their future success.

Although Pep sees Kompany returning to City eventually, he urges Bayern to seize the chance to work with the tactically astute coach. Embodying the principles of possession football, Kompany could bring a similar style to Bayern’s game. Guardiola’s endorsement adds weight to the potential collaboration, reflecting a shared vision for footballing success between Kompany and the prestigious German club.
