Jürgen Klopp, also known as “The Normal One”, bids farewell to FC Liverpool after nearly nine years. His new journey leads him back to Borussia Dortmund, where he previously led the team to victory in 2011 and 2012. Klopp will join his former club at Wembley for the Champions League final against Real Madrid on June 1, bringing along his wife Ulla and children Marc and Dennis for support.
After the final, Klopp and his family will return to Germany, settling into their new home in Wiesbaden. Despite stepping away from the intense world of football after 34 years as a player and manager, Klopp plans to remain active in charitable endeavors, particularly in his hometown of Mainz where he supports children battling cancer. In addition to their residence in Wiesbaden, the family also owns a luxurious villa in Santa Ponca, Mallorca.
Reflecting on Klopp’s remarkable achievements, BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke commends his contributions to Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool. Watzke expresses his hope that Klopp will now have the opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time with his family. As Klopp embraces his new role as a grandfather, he joyfully embraces the arrival of his first grandchild, cherishing the opportunity to be part of this new chapter in his life.
