On Tuesday, Borussia Monchengladbach players laced up their boots one last time to face off against Viktoria Jüchen Garzweiler in a friendly match. The Fohlen emerged victorious with a 5-1 win, ending a tough season with at least a small success. The team only managed to secure two wins in 17 matches during the second half of the season.

While coach Gerardo Seoane and his team will be conducting an intensive season analysis with manager Roland Virkus in the coming days, the players have already headed off for a 45-day vacation. They will reconvene on July 8th for medical examinations before kicking off their new season training on July 10th at the Borussia-Park. The team will then head to their summer training camp at Tegernsee from July 27th to August 2nd, choosing the familiar “Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt” in Rottach-Egern as their base for the eleventh time.

Manager Roland Virkus expressed satisfaction with the facilities at Tegernsee, highlighting the ideal conditions for their pre-season preparations. Borussia Monchengladbach will gear up for their first competitive matches in mid-August, starting with the DFB-Pokal first round running from August 16th to 19th, followed by the kickoff of the new Bundesliga season on August 23rd, 2024.
