Christian “Schulle” Schulz, Dortmund’s beloved bus driver, is going the extra mile to prepare for the Champions League final against Real Madrid at Wembley next week. On Friday, he will drive the team bus from Dortmund to Glasgow, covering 1271 kilometers through Germany, the Netherlands, England, and Scotland. The journey is for the Legends match between Celtic Glasgow and BVB, with over 30,000 fans expected at Celtic Park. However, Dortmund’s Coaches Sven Bender and Nuri Sahin had to skip the trip due to the upcoming final.
After the Legends game, Schulz will stay in Scotland for a short vacation with friends, while the former players return to Germany. Later, he will drive 651 kilometers from Glasgow to London to pick up the team before the final. Following the Champions League final, Schulz will drive the team to the airport and then cover 618 kilometers back to Dortmund. Despite the 2706-kilometer round trip, Schulz’s dedication to the team and the Champions League trophy knows no bounds.
With Schulz’s tireless efforts, Dortmund is gearing up for the final showdown against Real Madrid at Wembley. The journey may be long, but for Schulz, getting the team to victory is worth every single mile. Stay tuned for an exciting finale to see if Dortmund can bring home the coveted Champions League title.
