After a promising 3-0 opening match against Como, things are looking even brighter as Juventus finalizes a deal to bring Pierre Kalulu from AC Milan. The French defender, who is capable of playing both as a center-back and a full-back, is expected to be a versatile addition under Motta’s guidance.
Kalulu has agreed to join Juventus on loan, with the option to buy. Juventus will pay Milan an initial fee of €3 million for the loan, with the opportunity to acquire Kalulu outright next season for around €14 million. If certain performance-related bonuses are met, that fee could rise by an additional €3 million. To maintain some level of control over the player’s future, Milan has negotiated a 10% sell-on clause, which will come into play in 2025 if the transfer becomes permanent.
The crucial meeting is set for Tuesday, where Kalulu, along with representatives from both Milan and Juventus, will finalize the details and sign the necessary documents. It seems almost certain now: Kalulu will be Juventus’s defensive reinforcement.
