Inter and Marseille Agree on Loan Deal for Valentin Carboni at €40M

The ongoing negotiations between Inter Milan and Olympique Marseille for Valentin Carboni have been well documented. The French side initially aimed to secure the player on a permanent deal, but they were not willing to match Inter’s valuation. Consequently, both clubs reached a compromise for a loan deal that includes an option to buy set at €40 million, as well as a potential buy-back clause for Inter at a slightly higher price.

This arrangement was confirmed by Inter’s CEO, Beppe Marotta, who stated, “I believe we will finalize a loan agreement with Marseille, keeping him under our control and linked to our club. Will there be any incoming transfers? We’ll see.” Marotta’s comments were made during a celebratory event for the stamp commemorating Inter’s second star.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the summer acquisition of Mehdi Taremi, who joined on a free transfer after months of negotiations. “We are very pleased with him. Ausilio and Baccin were quick to secure him. We are happy to have him in our squad and believe he can provide us with great contributions,” Marotta added.
