The Italian club Genoa is actively seeking a new striker as they look to strengthen their attacking options. Their primary target is Slovak forward, whose name continues to circulate among the yellow-blues. Negotiations with Boavista are ongoing but have faced challenges due to differing valuations. The competition is also heating up from Major League Soccer teams, including Austin FC and Atlanta United, making the bid more complex.

In a separate transfer scenario, Genoa is attempting to finalize a deal for Spanish player Rodri Sanchez, currently at Real Betis. However, the Serie A side is negotiating against the club’s loan demands, which include a €1.5 million fee with an option to buy set at €6 million.

Meanwhile, following the departure of Mateo Retegui to Atalanta and the likely exit of Gudmundsson, Genoa has turned their attention to 18-year-old Croatian talent Anton Matkovic from Osijek, who scored five goals last season.

Fiorentina is also keen to strengthen their midfield by exploring options beyond Gudmundsson. The club is reportedly interested in Roma’s Bove and Udinese’s Lovric as potential additions to their squad.

Empoli, having secured several loan deals for players like Esposito from Inter and Vasquez and Colombo from Milan, is looking to finalize two additional signings from Roma: Solbakken and Kumbulla.

Additionally, Napoli’s 26-year-old midfielder, who recently extended his contract until 2029, is on the market. Lazio is in talks to bring him on board, proposing a deal that includes a loan with an obligation to buy. The two clubs are in active discussions, with Napoli valuing the player between €12-13 million. Both parties are hopeful of reaching an agreement swiftly.
