Youssouf Fofana Arrives in Milan Ahead of Medicals and Press Conference

Youssouf Fofana has arrived in Milan. The new signing for AC Milan landed at Linate airport just after 8 PM, dressed in a black short-sleeve shirt, carrying a crossbody bag, and wearing black sunglasses. He appeared relaxed as he prepares for his new chapter.

Tomorrow morning, Fofana will undergo medical examinations, which is the final step before officially confirming his transfer. He is expected to be at San Siro tomorrow evening to get acquainted with his new stadium. A press conference to introduce him will take place at 2:30 PM.

Starting next week, Fofana will begin training under coach Paulo Fonseca and, if fit, he could be available for Saturday’s match against Parma. The fee for Fofana amounts to €25 million, including bonuses. He is set to sign a four-year contract with an additional option for a fifth year in favor of the club, following the common pattern AC Milan has employed in recent years.

Fofana will wear the number 29 shirt, previously worn by Lorenzo Colombo and the legendary Costacurta. He is expected to be a key figure in Milan’s midfield, potentially the most vital player for the team’s balance. Known for his physical presence in the midfield, Fofana is not only a valuable defensive player; he also brings high intensity and ball-carrying solutions. He boasts impressive statistics for passes in the final third and progressive passes, allowing him to create chances while recovering the ball and driving forward.
