Palladino and De Gea Set to Make Debuts as Fiorentina Faces Puskas Akademia

Raffaele Palladino is set to make his European coaching debut tonight, leading Fiorentina in a crucial Conference League match against Puskas Academy in Florence. However, he won’t be the only one making a first appearance, as former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is expected to start in goal for the Viola. This match marks De Gea’s first outing in the Fiorentina colors.

Unfortunately for Fiorentina, they will be without winger Nico Gonzalez, who is not among the squad for this match. After missing the opener against Parma in the league, Gonzalez will also miss this cup tie against Puskas Academy. The club is reportedly in negotiations with Juventus to transfer the Argentine player.

For tonight’s match, Palladino is likely to field the following starting XI: De Gea in goal, supported by a back three of Martinez Quarta, Pongracic, and Ranieri. The midfield is expected to feature Kayode, Richardson, Amrabat, and Biraghi, with Colpani and Sottil playing behind striker Moise Kean.

Puskas Academy will likely line up in a 4-3-3 formation: Markek in goal; Maceiras, Stronati, Golla, and Markgraf in defense; Levi, Favorov, and Nissila in midfield; and Komaromi, Puljic, and Nagy leading the attack.

The match will be officiated by a French team, with Willy Delajod acting as the referee, assisted by Finjean and Jeanne, with Leonard as the fourth official. VAR will be overseen by Dechepy, along with assistant Wattellier.

Fans can watch the Fiorentina vs. Puskas Akademia match live on TV8 starting at 20:00. The game will also be available on Sky Sport Calcio (202), Sky Sport (251), and can be streamed on NOW, Sky Go, and TV8’s website. Live updates will be provided on Gazzetta.it.
