The official announcement has finally arrived: Nico Gonzalez is now a Juventus player. According to the club’s statement, this is not a loan deal with an obligation to buy, but rather a “permanent acquisition effective from today for a total amount of 33 million euros.” Fiorentina will receive 8 million euros immediately, while 25 million euros will be paid in installments by 2025, along with potential bonuses that could reach up to 5 million euros. Additionally, around 3.5 million euros will be added under “additional expenses.”
Gonzalez joined Fiorentina from Stuttgart in the summer of 2021, making him one of the most expensive signings in the club’s history at that time. Over three seasons in Florence, he made 86 appearances and scored 25 goals. His transfer to Juventus marks a significant step in his career.
This acquisition is just the beginning for Juventus under coach Thiago Motta. It is expected that more players will join the squad soon, with Conceiçao, Koopmeiners, and possibly Sancho also on the list of targets.
