Kenan Yildiz Signs New Juventus Deal and Takes Iconic Number 10 Jersey

Kenan Yildiz has officially renewed his contract with Juventus and will be taking the iconic number 10 shirt. The club and the player have reached an agreement, paving the way for an official announcement expected over the weekend. Juventus has until the eve of the first match of the season, where they will face Como at the Allianz Stadium, to finalize the jersey numbers for the current squad, with no changes allowed thereafter.

The 2005-born Turkish midfielder has fulfilled his dream of wearing the jersey of one of the most prestigious clubs in football, joining the ranks of legendary players, including his idol, Alessandro Del Piero. The discussions around extending Yildiz’s contract began earlier this summer. While he already had a contract in place, it was not aligned with the key role Juventus envisions for him in their new sporting project.

Under the new agreement, Yildiz’s salary will increase significantly from €300,000 to a base of €1 million, with additional variable bonuses contingent upon specific performance criteria. At one point, negotiations faced a setback due to disagreements over these bonuses, but Yildiz himself was eager to extend his contract and become part of the elite group of players who have worn the Juventus number 10.
