Juventus Welcomes Youngsters Savona and Rouhi to First Team Roster

In recent years, Juventus has seen a number of players transition from their youth ranks to the first team, and now Nicolò Savona and Jonas Rouhi have joined this promising path. Thanks to their impressive pre-season performances, both young talents have caught the attention of new head coach Thiago Motta, securing spots in the senior squad. They will have to balance their time between the Serie A team and the Next Gen, but with a foot firmly in the first team, their journey is just beginning.

Throughout the summer friendlies, Savona and Rouhi were regularly called upon. During the team’s training camp in Herzogenaurach, Germany, their hard work paid off, convincing Motta to include them in competitive matches. Both players participated in the season opener against Nuremberg and the friendly against Brest in Pescara, showcasing their skills on the pitch. There’s a real chance they could make their official debuts in the upcoming league match against Como on August 19.

In an exciting development, Nicolò Savona has officially renewed his contract with Juventus until 2029. The 20-year-old defender has demonstrated remarkable versatility, showing his ability to play as a right-back, center-back, and wing-back. This adaptability has kept him on Motta’s radar throughout his time with the Next Gen and during pre-season training.

Meanwhile, Jonas Rouhi, a 18-year-old left-back, is also close to finalizing his renewal with the club, and he is expected to sign his contract extension soon. On the other hand, another young talent, Marley Aké, is leaving the club. After spending last season on loan at Yverdon Sport, the French player has returned to Switzerland for another spell with the same club.

Juventus’ management, under the guidance of Thiago Motta, is showing clear and decisive strategies to ensure the team not only focuses on current success but also strengthens its future. The emergence of young players like Savona and Rouhi underscores their commitment to nurturing homegrown talent within the squad.
