Negotiations are not yet finalized, but progress is certainly being made. Marcelo Simonian, one of the intermediaries involved in the transfer, confirmed that the talks have reached an advanced stage. He stated to reporters outside the Inter Milan offices in Viale della Liberazione, “The meeting was positive. Will Tomas Palacios play for Inter? Yes, it is possible.”
Inter Milan has presented an offer of €6.5 million plus bonuses, which is considered a solid starting point for negotiations, now seemingly moving in a favorable direction. Palacios is eager for the move, and his current club, Independiente Rivadavia, is ready to sell him, having already communicated this to their coach, Martin Cicotello.
A final decision is expected in the coming hours, and it seems likely that by the start of next week, Simone Inzaghi could have the defensive reinforcement he has been hoping for, providing him with additional options in every position on the field. Palacios would ideally serve as a backup to Alessandro Bastoni in the left-center back role.
