Cristian Totti Joins Olbia in Serie D as Team Aims for Rapid Return to Pro League

Cristian Totti, the son of football legend Francesco Totti, has taken a significant step in his career by joining Olbia in Italy’s Serie D. This move follows Olbia’s unfortunate relegation from the professional leagues last season, prompting a fresh start for the club, guided by Swiss company Swiss Pro and technical consultant Ninni Corda.

To lead this new project, Olbia has appointed Marco Amelia, the World Cup-winning goalkeeper from the 2006 tournament, where he was a teammate of Francesco Totti. Together, they aim to revitalize the team and push for a swift return to Lega Pro.

Cristian, born in 2005, is a versatile attacking midfielder who has built his experience in youth teams at both Roma and Frosinone. His recent adventures included training with Rayo Vallecano in Spain. Recently, he signed with Avezzano, also in Serie D, but chose to terminate that contract to join Olbia and reunite with Amelia.

The arrival of Cristian Totti has sparked excitement among Olbia’s fans, who are already dreaming of a successful season and potentially hosting Francesco Totti at the Bruno Nespoli stadium for home matches. The club is looking to bounce back quickly, and with the Totti name in the mix, there’s hope for an inspiring and fruitful campaign ahead.
