Chiesa Misses Pre-Season Match as Juve Prepares for Serie A Kickoff

Brest coach Eric Roi is sticking to his familiar 4-3-3 formation as he prepares for the upcoming friendly match. The expected lineup includes goalkeeper Bizot, with a defensive line featuring Pereira Lage, Le Cardinal, Ndiaye, and Lala. In midfield, Martin, Magnetti, and Camara will aim to control the game, while the attacking trio comprises Le Douaron, Ajorque, and Del Castillo.

On the other hand, Juventus manager Thiago Motta is set to maintain the 4-2-3-1 formation that he implemented in the team’s first pre-season match against Nuremberg. The lineup for Juve looks promising with Di Gregorio in goal, supported by a back four of Savona, Gatti, Cabal, and Cambiaso. The midfield duo will consist of Locatelli and Thuram, while the attacking midfielders will be Weah, Fagioli, and Adzic, leading to striker Vlahovic.

Notably absent from the squad is Federico Chiesa, who will miss today’s flight to Abruzzo and the friendly match. This marks the second time during the pre-season that Chiesa is sidelined, fueling speculation about his future at Juventus. Thiago Motta has also left Tiago Djalò in Turin, hinting at possible transfer movements as the squad prepares for the new season.

The match will be broadcast live on TV8 and will also be available through Sky and DAZN on Saturday, August 3, at 21:00 local time. After this fixture, Juventus will be back in action on Sunday, August 11, against Atletico Madrid before kicking off their Serie A campaign at home against Como on August 19 at 20:45. This second test match will serve as a significant step in the team’s preparation for the season ahead.
