Adrien Rabiot’s Future Remains Uncertain as Clubs Show Interest

Days, weeks, and even months have passed, yet there is still no clear picture regarding Adrien Rabiot’s future. After a disappointing European campaign with France, the midfielder is currently on vacation, and the club he will represent next season remains uncertain. Rabiot’s mother, Véronique, recently stated in an interview that “any interested party should only speak with me.” This has always been the case, as she has played a key role in managing her son’s career.

Adrien has already bid farewell to Juventus, posting a short video on his Instagram account a couple of weeks ago: “After 5 seasons at Juventus, 5 years in Turin, I want to say goodbye and thank you. Thank you for everything. Goodbye and good luck.” These few lines seemed to be a necessary gesture to thank the Juventus fans, who until recently held out hope that Rabiot would accept the lucrative offer from the club to extend his stay. However, that did not materialize, and now Rabiot is exploring his options for the next chapter of his career.

It is clear that a player of Rabiot’s caliber—technically skilled, physically strong, and experienced on the international stage—would attract interest from several clubs, especially as a free agent. However, similar to when he first arrived in Turin, the notion of “free transfer” is somewhat misleading, as Véronique is known to demand high wages alongside various signing bonuses. These factors have deterred potential suitors, including Real Madrid, which typically avoids getting involved in such complex negotiations.

“I’m talking with certain clubs; no one else should speak on my behalf,” Véronique confirmed, acknowledging discussions with several teams, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Galatasaray. Atletico Madrid has dropped out of the race, as they are set to sign Gallagher from Chelsea.

Adrien seems interested in the possibility of taking on a new challenge. After playing in Ligue 1 and Serie A, the Premier League would be a fitting next step in what has already been a high-level career. A move to the Turkish Super Lig seems less likely, but the twists and turns of the transfer market can be unpredictable.
