“Quique Pina fights for control of Cádiz CF”

With a strong statement as a backdrop, Quique Pina addressed the media at Hotel Cádiz Bahía (Q Hotels) today. The shareholder of Cádiz CF, after the team’s relegation to the Second Division, wanted to send a clear message: “I must be the main shareholder of Cádiz CF.” Pina, who has been “fighting in court for six years,” explained that he couldn’t reveal his plans until the court verdicts were reached. “I will explain what happened and why I couldn’t do it before. I am doing it today mainly because the court decides on Locos por el Balón in October and the liquidator accepts it on January 14,” which is Vizcaíno.”

This marks another chapter in the intricate tale of Quique Pina and Cádiz CF. The Murcian businessman has been battling for years to gain full control of the club, and this latest move appears to be a decisive step in that direction. Pina stated his intent clearly, “I do not intend to sell. My utmost excitement is to manage Cádiz regardless of the division it is in. I have fought for Cádiz three times. I want to make it clear that I am still fighting for my shares.”

Among the legal back-and-forth between Manuel Vizcaíno and Quique Pina, there is another facet: “A year and two months ago, in March, I filed a lawsuit against Vizcaíno and Contreras relating to salary issues. They have continued to earn two million euros – a total of 7.6 million euros to my knowledge, all supported by documents,” stated the resilient Murcian entrepreneur. The latest developments highlight the ongoing struggle for control and ownership at Cádiz CF, amidst legal battles and uncertain times for the club.
