Betis has announced that Isco Alarcón underwent successful surgery on Monday for a broken leg suffered during a game against Las Palmas. The operation took place at the Viamed Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital in Sevilla. He will now start a rehabilitation phase and is expected to be out of action for two to three months, missing the start of the LaLiga season in mid-August. His recovery progress will determine if he can join the team later on.
The team’s medical staff, including doctors Muela, Montilla, Ribera, and Álvarez, led the surgery. Isco will be discharged shortly and will begin physiotherapy and rehab after a period of rest at home. Coach Pellegrini mentioned that the player’s absence is similar to Guido Rodríguez’s injury, and they aim to have him back by mid-August, missing out on the Euro Cup due to his successful performances this season.
Isco’s injury occurred in the recent game against Las Palmas where Betis won X-X. The talented midfielder will now focus on his recovery to get back to full fitness. Supporters will have to wait to see him in action again, as he aims to make a strong comeback once the LaLiga season begins in mid-August.
