García Pimienta to Leave UD Las Palmas, Carrión Potential Replacement

The wait is over. Garcia Pimienta has made his decision and informed the club and team. The coach will not continue with UD Las Palmas. He will have the chance to say goodbye to the fans in the last game of the season against Alaves on Sunday. Garcia Pimienta will leave on a high note, having achieved promotion and staying in La Liga. He managed 104 games with 41 wins, 33 draws, and 30 losses, matching Vicente Dauder’s record.

During his time with UD Las Palmas, several young players made their debut under his guidance. The club has already set their sights on Luis Carrion, the current coach of Real Oviedo, as a possible replacement for Pimienta. Carrion is the preferred choice by the sports management due to his style aligning with Pimienta’s vision. Talks have been ongoing for months, but Carrion is focused on leading Oviedo to the playoffs. There is also a possibility of the Oviedo player Viti joining Las Palmas alongside Carrion.

Looking ahead, Sevilla FC is also in the picture for Garcia Pimienta. The Andalusian club has been in talks with his representatives, positioning him as the top candidate to fill the vacant coaching position left by Quique Sanchez Flores. The future seems promising for Pimienta, with potential opportunities on the horizon after his successful spell with UD Las Palmas.
